Ahoy, SSYC’ers!
“Summer Hibachi Series”. Our 4th event is Wednesday, June 25th with the 1st warning at 1800 Hours. “Molokai Girl” will pick us up at the dock at Marina Park at 1600 W. Balboa Boulevard. You will need to be there on the dock at 5:00 PM as we depart at 5:15 PM for the starting area Westerly of Harbor Island. We will return about 7:30pm.
This is the last race in June of the Summer Hibachi Series (ends Aug 31st). We’re going to make it special and fun! Once we have started the boats for Race 4, the SSYC Cruise Committee is hosting dinner for all the crew & guests on Molokai Girl. A delicious main course will be provided. Please bring an appetizer or dessert for 4 people. This way we will have enough appetizers and desert, but not too much.
Bring your own favorite drinks. Please remember, no red wine or anything that may stain the decks!
It promises to be a lot of fun!
If you’d like to join us on the Race Committee boat, now’s your chance. No experience required. It just takes a handful of people to run the start and record finish times.
So, if you’d simply like to get out on the water, watch the racing and enjoy dinner and drinks in Newport Harbor, that’s okay, too. No red wine, please, as a spill can stain the deck and wear rubber-soled shoes.
If you’d like to be on the Race Committee boat, please register ASAP as space is limited. This is a great opportunity to invite other SSYC members and Prospective new members to join us. Guests need to sign a waiver.
