Hear ye, SSYC Sailors! It’s time to weigh anchor and set a course for the crystal-clear waters of Catalina. Whether you’re arriving by keel or by ferry, the harbor of Avalon is calling. Here is your chart for a weekend of sun, salt, and shore leave:
Thursday, April 16th: Landfall & Liberty
Most of the fleet arrives today! Join us at 5pm for a Happy Hour hosted by our Avalon Land Team: Rear Commodore Penny Scholey, and new members Skip & Deanna Marsh and Colleen & David Weeks.
Where: Fairweather Cottage (2 blocks from the beach). 234 Claressa Ave, Avalon, CA
Friday, April 17th: Greens & Grills
Morning - 10am : We’re hitting the course for a round of miniature golf! Sharpen your putting skills—prizes are on the line for the best "golf shots."
Lunch: A scenic stroll to Descanso Beach for some seaside refueling.
Dinner: We’re dining at the Bluewater Grill. Since they don’t take reservations, gather the crew in front of the restaurant at 5:30 PM sharp so we can be seated together.
Saturday, April 18th: Rallies & Refreshments
09:00 AM: Man your stations! We’re renting golf carts for our 2nd Annual Golf Cart Rally & Scavenger Hunt (with all-new clues!).
Afternoon: Relax on the sand or topside on your boat to prep for the main event...
4:30 PM: The Progressive Cocktail Hour! Get creative with your themes, costumes, and appetizers.
Safety Check: Keep your pours to 4 oz or less—we don't want any "tipsy fish" in the harbor!
Evening: We’ll conclude the night aboard Molokai Girl for pizza and salad.
The Bounty: $40 per person.
Registration: Sign up on Wild Apricot immediately to secure your spot!
The Deadline: All hands must be registered by Monday, April 13th.
Change of Course: If you can’t make the voyage, cancel by April 10th for a full refund.
