SSYC Race & Cruise - Day on the Water, Race Committee Boat & Trophy Presentation & Club Reception. Jim White Winter Series Race #7 & 8
Gain firsthand experience as a race committee crew member or just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful Newport Harbor aboard our race committee boat Molokai Girl! Lunch will be provided. Bring your own drinks.
Join the SSYC race committee immediately after for a club reception as we present award trophies to the winners of the JWMS. This is a great opportunity to spend a few hours socializing with other members and meet the racers who have participated in the series. All members and guests are welcome.
These are 2 events. Join us for both events or come for one of the events. Please see the different registrations and pick the one that is best for you.
Race committee Boat is limited to the first 20 people registering. Nominal $5 to cover lunch costs.
Both events are excellent events to invite guests who have an interest in joining the friendliest yacht club in So Cal.
Non members must complete the SSYC Participation, Release, Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement (see link below)

Event 1: Molokai Girl will be the Race Committee boat and will pick up the Race Committee at the Marina Park dock near the Lighthouse Café. Plan to arrive by 10:45 as we will depart from the dock at 11:00 to set up the start/finish line westerly of Harbor Island. Same locations as the Summer Hibachi Series. You will need to bring your own drink, warm clothes, rubber-soled shoes and please, no red wine. The first 5-minute race starting sequence begins at noon. You can expect to return to the dock by 3:30 in the afternoon.
Event 2: We’ll meet back at the club for trophies and a Club reception.. We will most probably be in the Docksider Room Final location to be determined. ( If you are not on the Race Committee boat, then meet us back at the SSYC club at about 4pm)
