Our first official return to the Friday Night Dinner will feature guest speaker Captain James H. Lee.
Captain Lee will discuss the challenges of tackling a transatlantic catamaran voyage following traditional trade routes mariners have been using for centuries, facing conditions ranging from calm to stormy, overcoming equipment problems, rigging failures and learning what it takes to make a successful crossing.
Captain Lee has spent time on the Dark Side as he has both sailing and powerboat instructor certifications, is an aerospace engineer, business executive, retired Navy Captain, obtained a USCG Master License, among many other certifications, degrees from prestigious institutions, and vast experience on the water.
Do not miss the first Friday Night Dinner back or this chance to meet and listen to such an accomplished individual, Captain James H. Lee.

Start of Newport-to-Ensenada Race
Come to Balboa Pier to see Staff Commodore Tom and the Pearl/Sapphire crew as they enter the starting area to cheer them on. Their start will likely be 11:00 (Exact time TBD).
We need everyone who can to join us at the start to cheer them on, Our support is crucial to Pearl/Sapphire finishing first or second as sometimes the races are determined on a very close finish.
Finish of Newport-to-Ensenada Race & Week-end at the 4 Star Hotel Coral in Ensenada.
After they start, we would leave the Balboa Pier and drive to the border. We plan on parking on the US side, walk across the border to the bus station. The ABC bus has typically cost $11.00 for a ticket to Ensenada on a luxury bus. Then, once we arrive at the bus station in Ensenada, we can get dinner downtown or simply call for a Uber to take us to the Hotel Coral.
Strongly recommend you obtain a Global Entry pass (You need to apply now) for a fast re-entry back to the USA.
Clive has reserved 5 Junior Suites (1 King) for the 2 nights at a total cost of $358.64 (including taxes) per room.
