2024 Member Appreciation Cruise - Aboard Dream Maker (a 90-foot vessel)
Here’s your chance to embark on a 3-hour Hornblower cruise that shouldn’t wind up on an uncharted desert isle (no Gilligan here).
We’ve worked hard to make this a premiere event. We will board the 90-foot vessel Dream Maker at 5:15pm on March 9th and cast off promptly at 5:30pm for a cruise around the Newport Beach harbor.
You’ll be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne and then be free to explore Dream Maker. On the mid-deck, you’ll find a fully stocked cash bar along with blackjack and roulette tables where you can test your luck or skill. DJ Cloe will keep dance tunes spinning on the top deck.
Dinner will be a buffet including salad, chicken and fish selections, seasonal vegetables and potatoes, and a tasty desert table. We should be back on the dock by 9:00pm.
Price is $75 per attendee and guests are quite welcome. We will provide more logistical details – including about a post-cruise party that’s under development -- as the date approaches. A few years back, we did a similar evening cruise and all agreed it was one of the best events they could remember. Come see the sights! We are confident that this year’s event will be even better and hope everyone will join.
The actual cost per person is $179. SSYC pays $104 per person. In addition to showing appreciation to our members, it’s also a wonderful way of showing prospective members that SSYC is a first-class club, as well as the friendliest yacht club in town. Dream Maker has been featured in TV and film such as reality TV show “More to Love”(2010) , The Bold and the Beautiful soap drama featured Dream Maker as the royal yacht of an Arab Prince, V.I.P.(2002) with Pamela Anderson portrayed the yacht in scenes for a high seas diamond heist.
