Tom will be serving his drink of the day. Please bring whatever drinks (Wine, Spirits etc) you would like to enjoy after an energetic hour of Paddling.
We are excited to announce that Paddle Boarding & Kayaking in Newport's Back Bay is back this summer on Saturday, August 10th. SSYC member Winston Sam will be on site to assist those who choose the paddle boarding option. So, even if you have never done it before, now's the time to try it out!
Kayak's will also be available to rent for those who don't wish to Paddleboard. We will be on the water from 10:00 to 11:00. (Plan to arrive by 9:30am if you are renting equipment as you may have to wait as equipment is limited)
After the paddle boarding/kayaking event we will be heading over to Commodore Tom Noto's home in Costa Mesa for appetizers, drinks, and lunch. We can also swim in his pool and soak up the sun in the jacuzzi. So, make sure to bring an extra bathing suit and towel with you in case you get sand from the beach. We don't want to take that into Tom's pool!
Make sure to sign up today and let us know in the comments if you will be paddleboarding or kayaking. If you don't have equipment, you can rent it at the Newport Aquatic Center at 1 Whitecliffs Dr. in Newport Beach. This is where we will be meeting. The cost of the paddle boards are $20 an hour. Single kayaks are $15 an hour and double kayaks are $20 an hour.
The cost for the event is $25 which covers lunch at Tom's. (Does not cover the cost of renting equipment)
