SSYC Cruise to Avalon, Catalina Island in June

JOIN US WHEN WE HEAD TO AVALON
June 5TH THROUGH THE 8TH
Join us the weekend of June 5th through the 8th as we cruise to the beautiful harbor of Avalon and all the fun that awaits us in Catalina. Most of us will arrive in Catalina on Thursday, June 5th
Thursday night is an open night.
Dinghy over to one of the SSYC boats ( Can be identified by the SSYC burgee). Make sure you "Request permission to come aboard". Plan to spend 15 to 20 mins and make sure you reciprocate by inviting people to come aboard your vessel.
Guests arriving with a bottle tend to get a more favorable reception.
Please let us know if you plan to arrive on Thursday.
On Friday, we will head to one of our favorite activities on the islands, miniature golf. Prizes will be awarded. So practice your golf shots. After golf, we will walk to Descanso Beach for lunch. Dinner that night will be at one of our favorite restaurants, Blue Water Grill. They do not make reservations, so please plan to meet us in front of the restaurant at 5:30.
On Saturday, we are headed over at 9:00 am to rent golf carts for our new Golf Cart Rally/Scavenger hunt followed by lunch in town.
In the afternoon you can chill on the beach, or on your boat, and get ready for our Progressive Cocktail Hour. Try to come up with a very creative idea for your cocktail and appetizer and include costumes and decorations for your theme. Serve the cocktail in 4 oz or less cups or we will have too many drunk fish in the water! The Progressive will start at 4:30.
We will have a dingy parade after the last boat and end up on Molokai Girl for pizza and salad.

The cost for the weekend is $40 per person. The cutoff date for registering is Monday, June 2nd. Please make sure to sign up right away on Wild Apricot and reserve your place. We look forward to an incredible weekend in Avalon with our SSYC family.
If you decide that you can't make it for whatever reason, you must cancel by June 1st for a full refund.
